Cytokines are key mediators of inflammation and development of specific immunity, which is responsible for the elimination of HCV. It has been found that the polymorphisms in several cytokine genes play role in human susceptibility to HCV infection, determine its differences in response to HCV and treatment-induced HCV clearance. This review summarizes the results of studies on the single-nucleotide polymorphisms of cytokine genes that complete our knowledge of the pathogenesis of HCV infection.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Резюме. В настоящем обзоре обобщены результаты исследований однонуклеотидных полиморфизмов генов цитокинов, дополняющие наши знания о патогенезе вирусного гепатита С.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>hepatitis C virus</kwd><kwd>cytokines</kwd><kwd>single nucleotide polymorphisms</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>вирусный гепатит С</kwd><kwd>цитокины</kwd><kwd>однонуклеотидные полиморфизмы</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>1.
